jane charles

Jane has her studio in Newcastle upon Tyne. She is inspired by working with molten glass together with the shapes, colours and moods of the natural world. Each piece is free blown in 24% lead glass and may then be hand cut, ground, sandblasted or polished in the cold room.

LoCo Glass has a fresh and innovative approach to glassmaking, they aim to make work that is forward thinking, with an emphasis on creative design and skilled craftsmanship. Each piece is hand blown without the use of moulds, and made in their characteristic style, using a variety of both traditional and modern techniques. LoCo glass is the combined creative talents of Louise and Colin Hawkins.

Ed and Margaret Burke set up their studio in the Welsh Borders in 1988. Ed is a master blower and is interested in using bold colours and patterns. He produces a range of lively table ware as well as his own one off pieces. Margaret specialises in cold working, etching through layers of coloured glass to create designs inspired by Primitive Art.
