The Arc Gallery occupies a unique restored 18th century brick and timber warehouse close to Chester’s medieval cross. The gallery opened in 1994 and is owned by Phoebe Wainwright and Jan Arditti who share a passion for fine contemporary British craft and design. With over 90% of our stock British designed and made, quality and originality are guaranteed.

While most of our stock is either wearable or useable we also feature more quirky and challenging pieces. Our vision is to offer the discerning craft buyer a haven from the repetitive predictability of the high street. We have developed long established relationships with many of our makers and enjoy seeing their work evolve, however new work is regularly introduced. The search for emerging fresh talent as well as recognised names is one of the pleasures of running the gallery.
